Minutes from a meeting of Cropthorne Parish Council held on Monday May 9th in the Village Hall at 7pm

  1. APOLOGIES were received from Councillor D Furlong
  2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST – Councillor J King – Village Hall Matters
  3. MINUTES from the previous meeting were approved – proposed Councillor Clive, seconded Councillor Furlong
  4. Co-Option – One application had been received to fill the vacancy, from R Annis. He was duly co-opted onto the parish council, proposed Councillor Segar, seconded Councillor King
  5. PLANNING :
  • W/16/00635 – Court Thatch, Neigh Lane – approved by WDC
  • W/15/03147 – Land North of Blacksmiths Lane – Erection of 4 detached bungalows and access drive from Blacksmiths Lane – refused by WDC
  • W/16/00458 Fairways, Field Barn Lane – second storey extension – Approved by WDC
  • W/16/00475 – Holland House – External and internal alterations – approved by WDC
  • W/15/02974 – New Inn, Main Road – Proposed single storey extension to enlarge dining /function area; pitched roof over existing store and wc’s to replace existing part pitched; formalise parking to front of property by creating boundary and stopping up highway – awaiting decision by WDC

Miscellaneous Planning Concerns: –

  1. Mobile home & hardstanding at The Orchard, Smokey lane – Planning contravention served
  2. VILLAGE HALL – Covered in Annual Parish Meeting
  3. COUNTY COUNCILLORS REPORT – Covered in Annual Parish Meeting
  4. DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT – Covered in Annual Parish Meeting
  5. MATTERS ARISING :
  6. Smart Water – due for distribution 19th May
  7. Lengthsman – New contract received and signed. Budget remains the same
  8. Baldwins Bank – Clearance undertaken but works still necessary. To be discussed
  9. New Homes Bonus – The parish council supported the village hall and the proposed sound proofing system – as discussed at the Annual parish Meeting
  10. Traveller consultation – responded to
  11. FINANCE
  12. Bank statements/reconciliation were made available to the Parish Council. Year End Accounts had been forwarded to the parish council and were available at the meeting. Approved by all present
