Minutes from a meeting of Cropthorne Parish Council held on Monday 6th February in the Village Hall at 7pm

  2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST – Councillor J King – Village Hall Matters
  3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes from previous meetings were approved and signed – proposed Councillor Clive, seconded Councillor King

PARISHIONERS QUESTION TIME:

  1. PLANNING:

a) 16/02510 Greenacres, Brook lane – Residential development of 4 x 4 bedroom dwellings with detached garages. Refused by WDC

d) 16/00209 8 Evergreen, Main Road – Awaiting additional information from WDC

Miscellaneous Planning Concerns: –

(i) Stricklands – Living accommodation issues – with enforcement team. DC English advised she had been in contact with WDC Enforcements and they were aware of the mobile homes

(ii) Severn Acres – second access – with enforcement team

(iii) Kimberleys Land – With enforcement team

Above planning concerns to be investigated by District Cllr English – she is to meet with Leader of WDC to discuss the various enforcement issues.

  1. VILLAGE HALL – Cllr King advised that the Sound / Vision project was progressing slowly now in its final stages. The committee are looking for new members, including a booking clerk.
  2. COUNTY COUNCILLORS REPORT – Nothing to report, although since the meeting a report had been circulated
  3. MATTERS ARISING:
  4. Smart Water – Further kits had been distributed, still more to be delivered.
  5. Lengthsman – Nothing to report
  6. Baldwins Bank – Awaiting action by Western Power regarding the dead silver birch
  7. New Homes Bonus – Current amount available £19, 700 (to be used if accepted by WDC on speed project)
  8. Traveller Consultation – Awaiting outcome of consultation
  9. Speeding – B4084 – Awaiting confirmation of a breakdown of costs for the red road surfacing. The clerk, Chair and Cllr Smythe to meet and finalise costings to enable us to move forward with the NHB application.

  1. FINANCE
  2. Approval of payments made/to be made since last meeting, as listed below – All councillors approved
  3. ANY OTHER BUSINESS/ FOR DISCUSSION TA FUTURE MEETING
  • Sheppey Corner – concern raised by a resident with regard the amount of water on site and large machinery working close to overhead cables – Chair advised that the developers would have their own health and safety procedures.
  • ‘United Front’ – Chair addressed the parish council and residents present, for approval to move forward with the email to parish councils in Wychavon. All councillors and residents were in full support. Clerk to re-send draft email, for approval by councillors, before distribution .
