Minutes for Cropthorne Parish Council annual meeting held on Monday 1st September 2025

- APPROVAL OF MINUTES from meeting 7th July 2025

- COUNTY AND DISTRICT CLLRS REPORTS AND PUBLIC CONTRIBUTIONS
- Cllr KEARSEY – Reported on local government reorganisation and the new On Demand Buses now running in the area.
- Cllr CRUMP – Reported local government reorganisation options for Worcs and a new weed reporting page on Wychavon’s website.
Members of the public contributed ideas and questions relating to:
- Two people attended from the Dubs In the Middle Festival organisers. They presented reassurances about the impact of the festival on local people and traffic. They also offered to support local good causes as part of their community contribution.
- The footpath to the rear of the school is getting overgrown with brambles. Clerk to raise the matter with the land owner.
- Parking outside the school, Holland House.
- PLANNING:
- An explanation was given about the difference between outline planning permission and a planning in principal consideration for comments on planning permissions.
- A report was made about a caravan on Kimberly Field at the end of Field Barn Lane.
- A consultation notice for an outline planning permission had arrived with the PC too late for inclusion on this agenda – an extra meeting is required and is set for the Tues 23rd September.
- Cllrs were informed of the inclusion of Cropthorne Parish in a Section 106 Agreement drawn up for a development in Fladbury – perhaps allowing for some small funds to come to the Parish.
- HIGHWAYS AND FLOODING – County Cllr Kearsey reported that she is working on a speeding restriction of 40mph to be extended from the village of Cropthorne towards Evesham.
- CLERKS PROGRESS REPORTS / UPDATES
- Signage and the Middle Lane Tree collapse had been reported.
- Options were reported for the replacement notice board at the school with the option from The Notice Board Company being £852.96 ex VAT and delivery of £10. Approved
- Lengthsman. The new benches are yet to be fitted at the village hall.

- VILLAGE HALL.
- A tree survey is being carried out on the Sheppy to check condition of the trees.
- BLEED KITS AND DEFIBRILLATOR BATTERIES AND PADS.
- The Randolph Meakins Patty’s Farm & Widow Lyes Charity offered to pay for Bleed Kits to be installed along with the defibrillator at a cost of around £100.
- The Dubs in The Middle Offered to pay for the Defibrillator kits at a cost of £390.
- AMPR into the village – a new officer is in place. Invites will be sent for upcoming meetings.
- LITTERBINS
The appropriate officer is being chased by Cllr Crump for location and specification matters.
