Further consultation on local Planning Code for Cropthorne and surrounding area.

To make sure as many people as possible can have their say, Wychavon District Council have extended the deadline for consultations. All consultations are now open until 31 March 2023.

Below is a link to an interactive map for you to identify and comment on your favourite and least favourite buildings, roads and features in your area.

Take part in the Wychavon Central Design Code consultation – this covers Evesham, Pershore and surrounding areas.

The process will help in the development of a new design code.  The design code sets out to developers, housebuilders and architects what is required, in detail, from their proposed plans before they are even submitted. This guarantees standards are upheld and removes the uncertainty which can lead to delays in the planning process.

Design codes can include everything from the type of material that can be used to whether buildings should avoid being north facing so it’s easier to install solar panels on them.

Having a design code will not replace the need for planning permission or remove the rights of residents to object or comment on individual planning applications. But by requiring developers to build to the design code, it means planners can ensure new development is better suited to towns and villages and is good quality, sustainable and helps communities flourish.

Do have your say.
