{"id":366,"date":"2020-08-18T11:01:44","date_gmt":"2020-08-18T10:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/?p=366"},"modified":"2020-08-18T11:01:45","modified_gmt":"2020-08-18T10:01:45","slug":"minutes-march-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/index.php\/minutes-march-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes March 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2016\/04<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Minutes from a meeting of Cropthorne Parish Council held on Monday March 7th in the Village Hall at 7pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PRESENT  :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Chairman R Segar\t\tCouncillor W Clive\t\tCouncillor D Furlong<\/p>\n<p>Vice Chairman S Smythe\tCouncillor L Stoodley<\/p>\n<p>Clerk \u2013 L Yapp<\/p>\n<p>Plus 13 members of the public<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n   <strong>APOLOGIES<\/strong> were received from Councillors  J King and M West and District Councillor M English<\/li>\n<li><strong>DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST  &#8211; <\/strong> Councillor L Stoodley &#8211;  Village Hall Matters<\/li>\n<li><strong>MINUTES<\/strong> from the previous meeting were approved \u2013 proposed Councillor Clive, seconded Councillor Furlong<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>PUBLIC QUESTION TIME\/PARTICIPATION &#8211; Issues raised by members of the public were:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Parking in Lower Croft \u2013 The chairman advised he would speak to the head of Cropthorne First School, requesting that parents avoid parking their vehicles there<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Parking in Main Street, near the junction with Middle Lane \u2013 pulling out of Middle Lane safely is extremely with the ever increasing problems with cars being parked near the junction.  One resident had been advised by the police to take it up with the parish council.  The clerk would contact the local police officer for the area for their advice<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Wychavon District Council proposals to increase the number of pitches at Severn Acres and Evergreen by 6 pitches.  It was proposed that members of the parish council attend the consultation meeting on 17<sup>th<\/sup> April, followed by a meeting with the parish council and residents to formulate a response<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PLANNING :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>W\/15\/03103\/03105  &#8211;  Court Thatch, Neigh Lane \u2013 <\/strong>approved by WDC<\/li>\n<li><strong>W\/15\/03134 &amp; 03135 \u2013<\/strong>Avonvale House, Kennel Bank, Cropthorne \u2013 proposed door replacing window and proposed dormer replacing roof light \u2013 approved by WDC<\/li>\n<li><strong>W\/15\/03147 \u2013<\/strong> Land North of Blacksmiths Lane \u2013 Erection of 4 detached bungalows and access drive from Blacksmiths Lane \u2013 the parish council objected to this application and their comments would be forwarded to WDC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>W\/15\/02974 \u2013<\/strong> New Inn, Main Road &#8211; Proposed single storey extension to enlarge dining \/function area; pitched roof over existing store and wc\u2019s to replace existing part pitched; formalise parking to front of property by creating boundary and stopping up highway \u2013 there were no objections to this application<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous Planning Concerns: &#8211; <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n  Mobile home &amp; hardstanding at The Orchard, Smokey lane \u2013 Planning contravention served<\/li>\n<li>\n  Access at Severn Acres \u2013 The second access at the site was still in use.  The clerk was asked to notify WDC enforcements<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2016\/05<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>VILLAGE HALL<\/strong> \u2013<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    A quote is being sourced for sound dampening in the village hall<\/li>\n<li>\n    Theft of the small mower had been reported to the police and the insurance company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>COUNTY COUNCILLORS REPORT \u2013<\/strong> Report received and circulated.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT \u2013 <\/strong>Nothing to report.<\/li>\n<li><strong>MATTERS ARISING :<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n  Crime in Cropthorne \u2013 Awaiting distribution.<\/li>\n<li>\n  Lengthsman \u2013 The clerk would ask the lengthsman to attend to overgrown verges in Brook Lane, thus making the pavement quite narrow in places.  Also the speed sign needs looking at as it is failing to light up<\/li>\n<li>\n  Baldwins Bank \u2013 Two quotes had been received with another two still awaited.  Concerns were raised by some parishioners that the suggestions put forward so far were excessive.  This would be reviewed in detail once the additional quotes had been received.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>10.      TRAVELLER SITE ALLOCATIONS <\/strong>\u2013 Discussed in Public Question time<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>FINANCE  <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n  Bank statements\/reconciliation were made available to the Parish Council.  Accounts had been forwarded to the parish council and were available at the meeting.  No issues raised.
