It was agreed that to reach the wide community a notice would be placed in the Five Alive.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PRESENT :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Cllr B Annis Cllr W Clive<\/p>\n<p>Vice Chair S Smythe Cllr D Furlong<\/p>\n<p>Cllr J King Cllr R Kelly<\/p>\n<p>Ckllr R Segar<\/p>\n<p>Clerk L Yapp 4 members of the public<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>APOLOGIES<\/strong> \u2013 County Cllr L Eyre, District Cllr M English, Geoff and Caroline Shaw<\/li>\n<li><strong>DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST &#8211; <\/strong> Councillor J King &#8211; Village Hall Matters<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>APPROVAL OF MINUTES <em>\u2013<\/em><\/strong> Minutes from previous meetings were approved and signed \u2013 proposed Cllr Clive, seconded Cllr Kelly \u2013 all in favour<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>PARISHIONERS QUESTION TIME: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Concerns raised over the speed of traffic since the recent re-surfacing in Main Street<\/li>\n<li>Increased traffic<\/li>\n<li>Lack of footway in Neigh Lane<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The parish council reported that all of the above could be less of an issue once the village gates and speed signs are installed. The clerk would arrange for speed checks to be carried out.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PLANNING:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>a) <strong>16\/00209 8 Evergreen, Main Road \u2013 <\/strong>Awaiting additional information from WDC<\/p>\n<p><strong>b) APPEAL \u2013 Residential Development of 4 x 4-bedroom dwellings with detached garages @ Greenacres, Brook Lane \u2013 <\/strong><em>Granted on appeal, since meeting<\/em><\/p>\n<p>c) <strong>17\/01452 \u2013 Elml Cottage, Kennel Bank <\/strong>\u2013 removal of stud partition wall \u2013 no objections raised<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous Planning Concerns: &#8211; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(i) Stricklands \u2013 Living accommodation issues \u2013 with enforcement team to organise a site visit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(ii) Severn Acres \u2013 second access \u2013 <\/strong>With enforcement officer<\/p>\n<p><strong>(iii) Kimberleys Land \u2013<\/strong> WDC Enforcements had written to the new owners<\/p>\n<p>Nothing further to report on the above Enforcement Issues<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>VILLAGE HALL<\/strong> \u2013 Cllr King reported the booking clerk was now a paid position. Thanks were made to Cllr Smythe for assistance on some repairs to play equipment. Tickets were available for the quiz night on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> September.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>COUNTY COUNCILLORS REPORT<\/strong> \u2013 This had been circulated to Cllrs and is available from the clerk<\/li>\n<li><strong>MATTERS ARISING:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Lengthsman asked to check speed sign batteries, and to attend to the hand rail at The Sheppey<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2017\/17<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>New Home Bonus \u2013 Approx. \u00a321,000 available to be spend on a LARGE community project.<\/li>\n<li>Speeding \u2013 B4084 \u2013 WDC had initially rejected the village gates element of the speed project, but this has now been approved. CC have agreed to finance the \u2018dragons teeth\u2019 but we are still waiting to reach an agreement on the posts for the solar powered speed signs<\/li>\n<li>Parish Councils Chairmans Meeting \u2013 A meeting to be organised asap<\/li>\n<li><strong>FINANCE<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Approval of payments made\/to be made since last meeting, as listed below \u2013 All councillors approved<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>External Audit had been successfully carried out with no areas of concern<\/li>\n<li>Youth Bus \u2013 the clerk advised that visits to Cropthorne could be limited if no contribution to funds are received by WDC. The bus relied on donations for funding. It was suggested we ask the Walkabout if they would like to contribute.
