{"id":223,"date":"2020-08-16T15:58:46","date_gmt":"2020-08-16T14:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/?p=223"},"modified":"2020-08-16T15:58:47","modified_gmt":"2020-08-16T14:58:47","slug":"minutes-september-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/index.php\/minutes-september-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes September 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a id=\"post-223-_Hlk503447942\"><\/a><strong>2018\/15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Minutes from a meeting of Cropthorne Parish Council held on Monday September 3rd 2018 in the Village Hall at 7pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PRESENT:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Cllr B Annis\t\t\tCllr R Segar<\/p>\n<p>Vice Chairman S Smythe\tCllr W Clive<\/p>\n<p>County Cllr L Eyre\t\tClerk L Yapp<\/p>\n<p>5 members of the public<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>APOLOGIES<\/strong> \u2013 Cllr s M Anderson, R Kelly and J King<\/li>\n<li><strong>DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST \u2013 <\/strong>none declared<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>APPROVAL OF MINUTES <em>\u2013<\/em><\/strong> Minutes from previous meetings were approved and signed \u2013 proposed Cllr Clive, seconded Cllr Segar \u2013 all in favour<\/li>\n<li><strong>PARISHIONERS QUESTION TIME:  <\/strong>The following issues were recorded:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>a)  Lower Croft<\/strong> \u2013 a request made from a resident for additional bollards to be sited outside numbers 23 &amp; 24 to stop parking on the grass<\/p>\n<p><strong>b)  Middle Lane, Dean Cottage <\/strong>\u2013 overgrown hedge needs cutting back<\/p>\n<p><strong>c)  Parking Main Street <\/strong>\u2013 Increased parking is causing severe problems outside Holland House and junction with Middle Lane \u2013 Cllr Eyre advised that the only effective option is for engineering works to be carried out (road narrowing for single lane) but this is not something that Worcs. County Council look favourably upon in areas with no street lighting.  She would speak to CC to further advice.  The clerk would request data from previous speed checks<\/p>\n<p><strong>d)  Quad Bikes<\/strong> \u2013 still a problem with riders not wearing helmets<\/p>\n<p><strong>e)  Residential living at Stricklands <\/strong>\u2013 it was reported that there are 7 mobile homes being lived in. and apparently not paying council tax.  The clerk to investigate<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PLANNING:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>a)  a) 18\/00682 \u2013 Greenacres \u2013 proposed garage and store \u2013 <em>Approved by WDC<\/em><\/p>\n<p>b)  18\/01045 \u2013 Riverside Lodge, Neigh Lane \u2013 conversion of existing Velux window to dormer window <em>Approved by WDC<\/em><\/p>\n<p>c)  18\/01582 \u2013 Oakleigh, Blacksmiths Lane \u2013 Replace existing polycarbonate roof with thermally efficient solid roof \u2013 <em>there were no objections to this application<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>VILLAGE HALL<\/strong> \u2013 This had been circulated to Cllrs in Cllr Kings absence<\/li>\n<li><strong>HIGHWAY MATTERS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    Field Barn Lane Verges \u2013 Some works had been carried out, and is in the hands of CC<\/li>\n<li>\n    Parking, Blacksmith Lane \u2013 the situation has improved slightly, and would be monitored<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT \u2013 <\/strong>available from clerk or can be found on the village website with these minutes<\/li>\n<li><strong>MATTERS ARISING:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n  Lengthsman  &#8211; nothing to report<\/li>\n<li>\n  New Home Bonus \u2013 Just under \u00a328,000 available<\/li>\n<li>\n  Speeding in Brook Lane\/Neigh Lane \u2013 Cllr Eyre to cover in her report (awaited)<\/li>\n<li>\n  Bus Service \u2013 it has been widely reported that the bus service (other than the school buses) is soon to top.  Letters from concerned residents had been received by the clerk.  Cllr Eyre advised that CC were looking into a \u201cUber\u201d approach as the future for rural transport. She also suggested that using Evesham Community Transport may be a cheaper option than the taxi\u2019s that some are using<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2018\/15<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>FINANCE  <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n  Payments made since the last meeting\/for authorisation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"613\" height=\"241\" src=\"https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/word-image.png\" class=\"wp-image-224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/word-image.png 613w, https:\/\/cropthorneparishcouncil.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/word-image-300x118.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(b)  <strong>Current account balance<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>(incl. unpresented cheques)\t\t\u00a36,668.53<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deposit account:\t\t\t<\/strong>\u00a35,017.05<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>GDPR<\/strong>: The Data Protection Policy and Privacy Notice were approved by the parish council.
