Minutes for Cropthorne Parish Council annual meeting held on 7th September 2026. 7.00 pm

1. APOLOGIES – CC E Kearsey , DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST – Cllr Hall and King serve on the VH.
2. MINUTES from meeting Monday 6th July 2026 APPROVED
3. WYCHAVON DC DOG CONTROL CONSULTATION. Cllrs were in favour as long as there were no liabilities falling on the PC and they would like more information about how matters will be monitored.
4. DONATION TO CROPTHORNE VILLAGE HALL to support the reconstruction of the “tree house”.
A proposal for a £1000 donation was approved. APPROVED
5. SPEEDING ON B4084
County Cllr Emma Kearsey has asked officers to investigate the positioning of a new VAS on the B4084 and for the upgrading of the existing signs. Cllrs asked whether count down signs could be positioned on the approaches to the village on the B4084. Cllrs asked if the police speed camera locations can be varied from time to time.
6. PROGRESS REPORTS / UPDATES from District and County Cllrs.
Cllr Crump submitted a report raising issues about a delay in the implementation of Local Government Reorganisation. The ceasing of the collection of old fridges and freezers by councils. That District Councillors have a discretionary fund of £10k to allocate to good causes in their wards and that WDC are providing grants to businesses too of £15k for energy efficiency measures.
7. PLANNING
The appearance of a new entrance onto land off the B4084 had concerned councillors. The entrance serves a plot of woodland where a 200m track has been built. The matter has been reported to the Enforcement Officers at WDC for further investigation.
