Notice is given of the Meeting of Cropthorne Parish Council on Mon 10th March 2025 at 7.00 pm at Cropthorne Village Hall.

1.         APOLOGIES

2.         DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillors who have declared a disclosable pecuniary interest, or any other disclosable interest must leave the room for the relevant items unless the Council decides on a dispensation.

3.         APPROVAL OF MINUTES from meeting Tues 21st January 2025

The meeting will close for 10 minutes to allow parishioners to address councillors.

4.       PLANNING:  

  1. Planning Presentation of mitigating measures by potential housing developers along Middle Lane and Field Barn Lane
  2. W/24/02568/CCO Applicants asked to attend the PC meeting to provide an explanation of what they plan for lighting at the pods as there is no information on the application about the lighting?
  3. W/25/00105/HED Location: Corehill Farm, Blacksmiths Lane, Cropthorne, Pershore, WR10 3LX Description of Proposal: Removal of 4 metres of hedgerow.

5.         HIGHWAY MATTERS (TO INCLUDE FLOODING)

  1. Report on visit to the Parish by Barry Barnes (WCC highways)

6.         BALDWINS BANK – update on request for works to trees

7.         COUNTY COUNCILLOR / DISTRICT COUNCILLOR REPORTS

8.         PROGRESS REPORTS / UPDATES

   Clerk’s report – including discussion on:

  1. Lorries parking on Middle Lane verges – damaging lawns – update
  2. The Croft,  Rooftop Housing – glazing units being stored on site – affecting roadways and parking – update
  3. Lengthsman. Report and to approve LM contract for 2025 26.
  4. Purchase of litter bins for the village – one at Middle Lane Footpath junction and one at the layby on the B4084 next to the New Inn.
  5. Purchase of two benches for the Sheppey/VH with Section 106 funding.

9.         FINANCE / GOVERNANCE

  1. Payments for approval/made since 21st January 2025 meeting – circulated to Cllrs

10.       VILLAGE HALL –  Report from Cllr King and Cllr Hall.
